WHAT ARE THE OFFICE OPENING HOURS?

The accommodation office hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. If there is no one in the office and you need them call the office number 071 91 46754 and someone will get back ASAP. The office is closed Saturday and Sunday but a contact telephone number is available for emergency assistance out of hours.

CAN I BOOK FOR ONE SEMESTER ONLY?

If you are only in college in Sligo for the first or second semester due to work experience etc we may be able to offer accommodation for the first or second semester only. A limited number of rooms are available for these short terms so please contact us to check availability and to obtain the relevant paperwork..

HOW CAN I BOOK A ROOM AT MILLIGAN COURT?

You can apply by downloading and completing the booking form on the Apply Today section on our website and returning it to us via post or email and transferring the €300.00 deposit to:

CAN I SHARE THE APARTMENT WITH MY FRIENDS?

If you have friends you wish to share with, Milligan Court Management will endeavour but not guarantee to accommodate you provided this request is clearly shown on all application forms at the time of application. Otherwise a lottery system applies to the allocation of flat mates.

WHAT MUST I HAVE BEFORE CHECK-IN? 

1 x passport photo, the signed Licence Agreement and the balance of accommodation must be paid.

WHEN CAN I CHECK-IN?

Between 9am and 5pm on Monday 28th August 2017. If you will be arriving out of office hours or after the 28th August please contact the office.  

I HAVE ONLY PAID THE €300 BOOKING DEPOSIT, WHEN IS THE BALANCE DUE?

The balance is due on or before 25th August 2017 preferably by bank transfer. Please note cheques, cash and debit or credit payments MUST be paid 7 days prior to the payment due date.

WHO ARE PAYMENTS TO BE MADE PAYABLE TO?

Payments should be made payable to “Studium Limited”.  

WHAT HAPPENS IF I PAY FOR ACCOMMODATION AND FAIL TO BE OFFERED A PLACE IN IT SLIGO?

WHEN ARE THE 2ND AND SUBSEQUENT PAYMENTS DUE?

2nd payment is due on or before 27th October 2017. 3rd payment is due on or before 15th December 2017. 4th and final payment is due on or before 23th February 2017

Key fobs will need to be revalidated on receipt of each payment.

CAN I HAVE FRIENDS STAYING OVER?

Yes but not on a regular basis. Overnight guests are permitted no more than twice per month per student occupier. Guests must be aged 18 or over. Only 1 guest per student occupier may stay overnight. If you do wish to have a guest staying over, their name and photographic ID must be registered in the office DURING office hours with a minimum of 12 hours notice. A charge of €15.00 per night may be charged to guests who stay for more than 2 nights per month. A fine of €50.00 will apply should a student be found to be breaking this rule.

ARE THERE APARTMENT CHECKS?

Yes, these are carried out on a regular basis to ensure the property is being looked after.

CAN I OBTAIN THE APARTMENT NUMBER DETAILS BEFORE CHECK IN? 

No, the apartment details will be issued to you on arrival.

IS INSURANCE FOR MY BELONGINGS PROVIDED BY MILLIGAN COURT MANAGEMENT?

No, you must take out your own cover for your possessions. We recommend having the family household policy extended to cover the personal effects away from home.

IS THERE AN INTERNET CONNECTION IN THE APARTMENTS?

Yes all bedrooms come with internet connection and study area. The internet facility is provided for you on the basis that it will not be abused. If illegal downloads, torrents etc are detected the service will be terminated.

IS THERE SECURITY ON SITE? 

Yes, and Milligan Court is CCTV protected.

WHAT IF GET LOCKED OUT? 

If you forget your keys and key fobs or lock them in your accommodation contact the office or emergency number and we will provide you with access to your accommodation at a cost of €5.00 during office hours (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) and €15.00 thereafter.  

You must report any loss or theft of any keys, security cards and key fobs immediately to the office. 

If you lose your keys or your key fobs are stolen there is €30.00 charge to issue a new set of keys but this charge is waivered if you provide a letter from the Gardai relating to the theft of the keys.  

WHAT DO I DO WITH MY RUBBISH?

A refuse store room is located in the car park near the Office. Please ensure rubbish is segregated by placing recyclable refuse into the correct bin and remember to lock the door after you. Do not place any rubbish on the floors.

CAN I PARK MY CAR AT MILLIGAN COURT?

We have a limited amount of free car park spaces that are designated at the start of the academic year. Your guests can park here for €3.00 per day.

IF WE HAVE A PROBLEM IN OUR APARTMENT WHAT DO WE DO?

Contact the office with immediately with your apartment number and details of the issue. Our onsite maintenance team will assess and rectify the matter in a timely manner.

IF I LEAVE BEFORE THE END OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR, WHAT HAPPENS? 

No refunds of rent will be made in the case of early departure.

WHAT IS THE INVENTORY & SCHEDULE OF CONDITION? 

The Inventory and Schedule of Condition will be provided to you on arrival and lists the items found in the accommodation. The Inventory is the contents list and schedule of condition listed at the start of the licence period. It contains a list of all furniture, fixtures, contents and effects and the condition of the Apartment. All occupants much return a signed copy, initial at the bottom of each page and report any discrepancies within the report to the office within 7 days of your arrival. If the signed Inventory is not returned within this period the Inventory records will be as per Milligan Court Resident Management’s records. If any of the items listed in the Inventory are missing or in poor condition at the end of your period of residence the cost of replacing them will be deducted from your Deposit and further costs above the Deposit amount may be required. The office can provide you, upon request, with a full list of costs to replace each damaged or missing item.
